Sainsbury’s Sheffield High Street Local has presented Cathedral Archer Project Ltd with a donation for £500.00.
This will help to support towards the cost of food for the shelter.
The Sainsbury’s Community Budget scheme, helping charitable groups in the local community, is funded by sales of ‘Bags for Life’. So for customers at Sainsbury’s Sheffield High Street Local buying a ‘Bag for Life’, this means that they are not only doing great things for the environment, but are also making a contribution to their local community.
Sainsbury’s Sheffield High Street Local Store Manager, Darren Filsell, said: “Our store is at the heart of the local community and it is important that we can do as much as we can to support it. When we heard about Cathedral Archer Project Ltd, we were really pleased to be able to help out.”
Last year alone the Community Budget scheme provided £135k worth of donations, nominated by depot and store managers and colleagues from stores nation wide.
