Ava Hatt an incredible six year old has shaved her hair to raise money for The Cathedral Archer Project to help the homeless in Sheffield.
Ava watched a programme about charities with her mum around a year ago and has wanted to shave her hair even since to raise money for charity.
Ava said ‘I am shaving my hair to raise money for homeless for Cathedral Archer Project because I want to help people that do not have a warm home’.
On Saturday 28th March 2015 at 9am, Ava had her hair shaved off and donated her lovely long blonde hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that makes wigs for children who have cancer.
In total Ava raised a fantastic £1,254.89. Her message spread far and wide. One lady donated £50 leaving the message ‘Hi Ava, although I am now living in Thailand, you make me proud to be a Sheffielder, and you can justly feel very proud of yourself for what you are putting yourself through for such a worthy cause’.
We can’t thank Ava enough. She is an inspirational young lady, and the money she has raised will have such an impact on the lives of people who have very little.
