On the 15th of May was Fruity Friday and we thought we would get involved with the fruity proceedings.
Sainsbury’s kindly donated us a fantastic array of fruits on the morning and our kitchen crew worked hard making a selection of healthy menu ideas. They made a delicious plum and apricot crumble and banana and strawberry smoothies. We also left fruit out in the project throughout the day for people to help themselves.
The day was mainly about encouraging our clients to eat healthily and to work towards eating 5-a-day. We hope to make this a more regular thing in the project so would welcome any surplus fruit or interesting recipes.
