Are you looking for a way to support our work with the homeless and vulnerable in Sheffield this summer?
'My Sleep Out’ is a great way to raise funds to ensure we at the Cathedral Archer Project can keep on providing help for those most at risk. By sleeping out you will not only be raising vital funds but also raising awareness about the hardships those on the street endure.
To get involved with ‘My Sleep Out’ we are asking you to give up your bed for the night and donate or get sponsored for your efforts. All you really need is a sleeping bag and some friends. It could be a summer’s night sleeping in your garden with co-workers or perhaps at your local church or community centre. It really is up to you!
Our Voluntary Fundraising Committee, made up of students from the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University, intend to hold a ‘My Sleep Out’ in the new term at the University of Sheffield Students’ Union Concourse. Students involved will be challenged to raise £50 in sponsorship each. Committee member Asad Selimov said 'We wanted to do something that could get lots of people involved and thinking about homelessness'.
Could you organise something similar?
