We’ve been putting our heads together in the fundraising team recently and trying to come up with ways to get bigger, bolder and more exciting in our fundraising efforts.
You told us that you want to be tested and that’s just what we plan to do! Of course, the focus is still on helping the most vulnerable but now you can break a sweat whilst doing it too.
We came across Global Adventure Challenges, who have been organising worldwide charity challenge events and adventures since the year 2000. Their charity challenge events have helped raise well in excess of £15 million for a whole array of charities located throughout the UK and overseas. After looking through all the amazing challenges we knew we had to get involved! Here’s the website if you want to check them out: http://www.globaladventurechallenges.com/
Soo many challenges! Which one was for us? With some keen cyclists in the team and supporters who had ridden for us before the ‘London to Paris Cycle’ immediately stood out. Four days, two hundred & ninety five miles, two capital cities...one awesome ride! Wow! The bike ride will take in views from the beautiful Kent countryside to Dover, before crossing the channel and continuing through the rolling, green fields of Northern France, passing the war memorials and cemeteries of the Somme, with a spectacular view of the Eiffel Tower, which marks the finish line in the centre of this famous city.
The date? 16th – 20th August 2017, so slip into your lycra, hop in your saddle and let’s ride!
