Join some of our staff and volunteers this April and run the Sheffield Half Marathon.
The Sheffield Half starts and finishes in Sheffield city centre, and stretches across many of the city's landmarks. The route boasts a super scenic route with views of the Peak District for those who conquer the climb to Ringinglow.
Each year, this major event in the UK's running calendar attracts thousands of runners of all abilities, along with spectators, to the city's streets, and raises many thousands of pounds for good causes.
The route stretches across 13.1miles of Sheffield, starting and finishing in the city centre. Originally, this event was just a marathon, starting in 1929 for two consecutive years, with a half marathon run at the same time. This restarted again in 1946 after the Second World War.
This is a great excuse to get fit and have something to focus your energy on – it is advised that you train advance to ensure you are fit and able. The top runners’ finish time normally falls between the 1 hour and 1 hour 20 mark, differing slightly each year. Could you be one of the champions of 2019?!
Why not join us for the run? Contact Lynne on firstname.lastname@example.org or on 0114 321 2317 for more information about how you can fundraise for us.
