See what’s been happening at the Cathedral Archer Project.
On behalf of everyone at CAP we would like to wish all our supporters, friends of the project and people who use the centre a very Happy New Year!
We would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported us in 2015. We simply couldn't have helped as many people as we did without you.
Here are some of the things we achieved in 2015 with you help and support:
By the end of the year we served approximately 8,275 breakfasts. We gave out over 700 food parcels and in total opened our doors for over 1,200 people in need of support and help.
We booked in 800 Nurse Appointments, 143 dental appointments and 32 podiatry appointments and we have delivered over 500 activity sessions to 175 people.
Please continue to support us in 2016 so we can ensure less people face homelessness alone.
Danielle and Wayne who both visit the project shared two Christmas poems at our Carol Service this year.
Christmas, By Danielle
In the year 2003 Christmas changed for me.
The meaning was still the same, it was still about being with family and friends but it had lost something.
The thing that was lost was the magic as this was the year my Nan had died and she made Christmas so magical.
So now when I see the glint of magic in someone’s eye I see my Nan making Christmas special and magical for them.
Christmas Time, By Wayne
Christmas is a happy time with tinsel on the tree
The Christmas lights are flickering The films are on tv
The Christmas dinner is cooking The smell is drifting in the room,
We all sit at the table Dinner will be ready soon.
After we’ve had our dinner We play games and have some fun, My mum is watching tv Not ‘The sound of music again’!
I’ve early enjoyed Christmas Day But one makes me sad, There’s one person missing to enjoy this day “Merry Christmas Dad.”
We would like to wish all our supporters, friends of the project and the people who use the centre a very Happy Christmas! Thank you so much for all your support this year.

In October our photography group were very lucky to be chosen to feature in the Off the Shelf festival at the Winter Gardens.
The exhibition in collaboration with Off the Shelf and the Open College of the Arts (OCA) offered often unfamiliar perspectives on Sheffield’s people, buildings, streets and open spaces. Our photography group worked with professional photographers Mark Harvey and Andrew Conroy to develop their own personal vision and take photographs which tell their stories.
