See what’s been happening at the Cathedral Archer Project.
Get your wellingtons on and help stamp out homelessness in Sheffield. Here at the Cathedral Archer Project, we are hosting a sponsored 5 mile ‘welly walk’ to raise funds to help with our work in assisting people out of homelessness. The walk will take place on 10th October 2015 and coincides with National Welly Week.
On the 30th September Complete Utility Solutions are holding a ‘My Sleep Out’ event to raise awareness about homelessness and rough sleeping. The brave lot will be sleeping out in their carpark for the evening and are getting sponsorship for their efforts!
This summer we have had some fab groups from The National Citizen Service helping us at the project!
NCS brings together young people from different backgrounds and helps them develop greater confidence, self-awareness and responsibility. It encourages personal and social development by working on skills like leadership, teamwork and communication.
Please help us this Harvest and start collecting food for the homeless!
It is that time of year again, summer is here and autumn is around the corner and for us,that means it is time to ask for support for our Harvest Appeal. If you are based in a school or church and would like us to come and talk at a service, assembly or group meeting, please give us a call.
Our Harvest appeal is running from the 5th – 23rd October 2015.
Please help us continue to support the homeless in Sheffield. Your donations help feed over 70 people a day with breakfast, lunch and enable us to give out food parcels. This keeps these vulnerable people healthy and clean.
Deliveries welcome at these times:
9am – 1 pm on:
Monday 5th – Friday 9th October
Monday 12th– Friday 16th October
Monday 19th – Friday 23rd October
Why do people only think about the homeless when it’s cold?
It is often assumed that winter is the worst period for homeless people, but summer brings just as many challenges and health risks.
