See what’s been happening at the Cathedral Archer Project.
As a thank you to our volunteers, Cathedral Archer Project staff organised a day trip to Chester Zoo last week.
Eight of our volunteers who help out with the running of our project had the day to relax and enjoy.
The Cathedral Archer Project homeless day centre simply couldn’t run without help of our volunteers. They help with the day-to-day running of the kitchen, the lounge, the reception and in our stores. We really cannot thank our volunteers enough so the Chester Zoo visit was just a small way of showing how much all their hard work is appreciated.
Saturday 8th March was International Women’s Day; people around the world celebrated the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.
To mark the day at the Cathedral Archer Project, Jane (our Health Worker) organised a day for the women of the project celebrating their achievements. Here are a selection of photos taken by Jane.
Our International Women’s Day celebrations consisted of a self esteem and confidence building workshop for the women of the project. We discussed questions such as what is self esteem? What makes us feel confident? What can make us feel insecure and what helps to change this?
