Sleep Out - Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Sleep Out safe? – Yes. Our Sleep Out is designed to give you the experience of what it is like to sleep on the streets, but in a safe and secure environment. The Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park Community Stadium stadium is fully secure, only people with tickets will be able to enter and we will have fully qualified first aiders present and awake all night long.

I haven’t reached my fundraising target (target amount) – can I still take part? – Yes! The target is only a guide. Of course, we would love for you to raise this amount, however if you are struggling, please do let us know and we will be happy to help, you can also get in touch to request our fundraising pack, which is full of tips and materials to help you.

How long does the Sleep Out last? – We ask people to start arriving at 7:00 pm on Saturday and the event finishes by 7:00 am the following morning.

Is there an age restriction? – Children are welcome to take part in our Sleep Out, however, we ask they are always supervised by a parent or guardian. Tickets for children are priced at £10, which covers the cost of a pizza, juice and breakfast. Please note that we are not expecting children to raise funds for this event.

Will there be food and drink available? – Yes, there will be pizza included in the ticket price. We will also be providing hot drinks all night as well as breakfast the following morning.

I have dietary requirements – will I be catered for? – Please let us know any dietary requirements by emailing Lynne at lynne@archerproject.org.uk.

Where can I park? – There is plenty of free off-road parking at Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park Community Stadium. If you do not drive, the park is easily accessible by both bus and tram.

What happens if I need help during the night? – There will be first aid trained staff at the event who will stay awake all night. If you need any help, please ask a member of staff.

What happens if I need to leave early or arrive late? – This isn’t a problem, but please let us know as soon as you can, and make sure you sign in and get a wristband so we know who is on site.
